Mini Mixed Fleet Series

Race
The Mixed Fleet Series is a competition run across five venues in the Midlands Region for class yachts over 500mm and less than 800mm overall length of boat over four acts. These include M540, Micro Magic, Wee Nip and RG65’s with a short keel, although this list is by no means exhaustive.
Round 1 21st March Abington Park MYC
Round 2 11th April Daventry Country Park
Round 3 9th May Abington Park MYC.
Round 4 8th August Abington Park MYC
Event Rules
The event is open to any class yacht that has a hull length between 500 and 800mm, and is capable of sailing in the restricted depth of Abington Park, although there will not be a problem with the depth of Daventry Country Park.
The MYA formal rules for the racing will be the RRS 2013-2016 modified by the 2014 MYA Standard Sailing Instructions as applied to radio controlled boats. However, don’t feel intimidated, these rules are basically full size boat rules and will be modified on the day to suit the Footy boat and local weather conditions. Local sailing instructions will be announced at the Race Officer’s briefing before the start of competition.
Your MYA membership card or equivalent evidence of insurance should be made available to the Race Officer if requested.
The Race Officer will be either Peter Shepherd or Peter Jackson.
Registration and measurement checks will start at 9.00am.
The briefing will be at 9.30am followed by a practice race and then the first race due to commence shortly afterwards. The final race starting at no later than 3pm, any race not completed by 3.30pm will be abandoned.
The entry fee will be £2:00 to be paid on the day at registration. Advanced payment is not necessary.
Scoring
The scoring for this event will be based upon the low point scoring system.

There will be an overall prize for the competitor with the best score from three of four ACTS.
1st-10pts, 2nd-9pts, etc 10th place or below 1pt
