Midlands Footy League

We are pleased to announce that we will be once more running a MFL competition at Abington Park in 2014. Open to all skippers whatever their ability. entries from outside the Abington Park Model Yacht Club are most welcome. This season there will be a small entry fee of £2.00 per event to cover the cost of trophies at the end of the season. We were kindly donated a rather nice trophy by Trevor Thomas, called the Dead Tree Trophy for this competition, rather than use it for the winner we have come up with a use that we hope will encourage more diversity within the class for details click here.
The league consists of 8 race meetings held from March through to October, usually on the First Sunday in the Month, each meeting being 16 races, the briefing is held at 9:30 am and the meeting is usually completed by 2.30 pm including a break for lunch.
Our organisers aim is to have competitive racing on a friendly basis within the rules of Model Yacht Racing, if you are interested in attending and require further details please email Peter Jackson.
